Spectral Lands ; Nature's vanishing symphonies
Paradise Works, Manchester, UK
Comissioned by SHORT SUPPLY
Highlighting three UK locations - Lyme Regis, Cairngorms, and the Isle of Lewis—where ecological climates are undergoing marked shifts. Using real-time data sourced from a national database, the series of imagery lays bare microscopic shifts in precipitation patterns, thawing permafrost, and modified ecosystems. Constructed by translating aerial imagery changes and climate data feeds into sound frequencies through Python, melding them into a real-time visual programming language. These changing landscapes aim to consider the intangible impacts of the climate crisis.
